Description: I would like to show my respect and gratitude to each and every personnel who have helped me to conduct this research study on surveying “Impact of two staffing patterns (nurse patient ratio) on nurses’ job satisfaction, nursing activities, quality of nursing care and nurses’ and patients’ satisfaction with the nursing care in medical wards of a selected hospital with a view to recommend an optimum nursing manpower plan”. Without their support, it was impossible for me to deduce the relevant and accurate conclusion. I would also like to express my thankfulness to my supervisor, Dr. Kathryn Stieh for providing me every support and timely advices on what needs to be done. Active participation of my supervisor in this entire survey has really helped me to achieve confidence. I would also like to thank my professors, lecturers and elders for imparting their knowledge which in turn have allowed me in my future endeavours. Also, thanks to all the participants that is employees and managers of the tertiary care hospital in Riyadh who have invested their precious time in the survey.
